WSET Wine courses for Super-yachts berthed in Malta 

Together with the Institute of Tourism Studies Malta (ITS), Number Twelve Ltd is offering the international WSET (Wine and Spirits Education Trust) certificate to Super yacht crew berthed in Malta.

Number Twelve Fine wines and Provisions Temperature controlled warehouse is a certified and approved satellite centre for the WSET wine course and is offering Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 courses.  

Courses include a tuition pack, an examination as well as the sampling of several wines (no. depends on the course level). Upon successful completion of each course the students will receive an internationally recognized certificate and corresponding lapel pin.

  
WSET Wine course Details below:

WSET Award Level 1  - This qualification provides a basic introduction to the main styles of wines available to front line staff involved in the service of sale of wines. This qualification prepares the person for their first job in wine hospitality or retail. 

  

WSET Award Level 2 – This qualification offers a greater breadth and depth of knowledge of all alcoholic drinks, together with the theory of tasting technique. It is suitable for those with little previous experience. Holders of level 2 will be able to interpret labels  of the major wines and spirits of the world and give basic guidance on appropriate selection and service, as well as understand principals of wine tasting and evaluation.  

 

 WSET Award Level 3 - This qualification is open to students who hold the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines & Spirits or can demonstrate the equivalent level of knowledge. It is recommended that students complete the Level 2 Award in Wines & Spirits before progressing to the Level 3 Award. The aim of this course is to provide detailed analysis of the principal wines and spirits of the world. Students will also benefit from in-depth tastings where they will learn to identify product style and quality.
